CANBERRA NARA CANDLE FESTIVAL 2009
Despite the inclement weather, the 2009 Canberra Nara Candle Festival managed to go ahead almost as planned!
Thousands of loyal Canberrans enjoyed the range of traditional Japanese activities, the live entertainment on stage, fantastic martial art demonstrations and Mochi Pounding and of course, the delicious Japanese cuisine!
The CMD Special Events team would like to sincerely thank the many people who braved the conditions and attended the event.
We would also like to acknowledge the SES Volunteers, St John Ambulance Volunteers, stallholders and performers for working together to help deliver the fantastic event, despite a poor weather day!
We can't wait for the Candle Festival in 2010!
