Canberra and Region Heritage Festival 2009
April 4 2009 – As we approach Canberra's Centenary, this year's Heritage Festival will be refreshed appealing to a broader audience by demonstrating that heritage is not just about old buildings. It's retro, it's vintage, it's every decade past and into the future.
The theme for 2009 is 'Space'. What does space mean to you? Walter Burley Griffin said ‘Architecture is a space art.' Heritage fills an important space by providing another dimension to our lives.

The ACT has a lease hold system of land tenure. The first auction of leases was held on December 1924. The display comprises of posters, maps, brochures, and other items on land sales.
