Rugby League World Cup 2017


Canberra has been selected as a Host City for three pool matches at the Rugby League World Cup 2017 – to be staged at Canberra Stadium.

  • Sunday 29 October 2017 - France v Lebanon
  • Friday 3 November 2017 - Australia v France
  • Friday 10 November 2017 - Fiji v Italy

A total of fourteen teams will compete in the Rugby League World Cup 2017, with the tournament featuring 28 games played over five weeks in three host countries – Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.

The fact that Canberra has been chosen to play a key role in the tournament is testament to the city’s reputation as a destination for world-class events.

Each of Canberra’s three pool matches for the Rugby League World Cup 2017 is sure to be played amidst a vibrant atmosphere at Canberra Stadium.
